Success for the Netball Teams

A great start to our competition this year!

Today (Tuesday 30th September 2015) our netball teams took part in the KS2 Netball Tournament at William Howard School. The sun was shining and we were all in good spirits. We had two teams taking part in the competition and all of the children tried their best and played really well. Our ‘Team 2’ played on a very warm Astroturf court and despite a valiant effort the goal posts eluded them. Our ‘Team 1’ also played on the Astroturf court and as with ‘Team 2’ they did very well to cope with all of the different line markings on the floor in each game. After a mid-game substitution, Millie with a bumped finger, Madeleine leapt onto the pitch and scored a goal within a few seconds of playing. This goal was to be the winning goal and consequently ‘Team 1’ were very pleased to win all 3 of their games which meant they WON the Large Schools Tournament!

A great day was had by all and yet again the children of Brampton Primary School did our school proud. I would like to thank Mrs Lewis for supporting the children and thank you to the parents who also gave up their time to cheer us on.

The teams:

Team 1: Ruby Campbell, Madeleine Giecco, Ben Mackenzie, Katy Mitchinson, Millie Ross, Ariane Grieves, Katie Barclay and Zach Ealey.

Team 2: Kayleigh Armstrong, Emily Barron, Poppi Bowe, Alisha Forster, Ruby Noble, Chloe Thomas, Lucy Knight and Imogen Turner.

Do enjoy some photographs!
