Welcome from your School Council

The School Council at Brampton Primary School is very important.
Children from Year 1 to Year 6 are chosen by their classmates to represent them at regular meetings and to help make our school an even better place to be.
 

2023-24 Projects

This year our School Council have supported school leaders to: 

• Appoint a new Deputy Headteacher.  The boys and girls designed and asked questions of the candidates as part of the recruitment process.   They shared their insights with the Headteacher and Governors to support the decision-making process.  This resulted in Miss Miller being appointed in May 2024. 

• Select a new piece of play equipment for the KS1 Yard.  The Council looked at potential options for new equipment and chose the Jungle Climber from Playdale.  This was installed in June 2024.  

• Choose new school reading books.  Council members are visiting a local book supplier with our literacy subject leader in July to spend the school's budget for books this year.  

Charity work

In 2024-25, the School Council will be agreeing on a local charity that the school would like to support in the coming year.
