Literacy for Friday 4th February
Please could you have a go at writing a summary of the story Viking Boy so far. Just do your best as I know it is tricky when you are not at school. Try to remember how the story began, then key points in the story, up to where we left it on Friday when the old man left Gunnar in the forest. Try to write a paragraph.
Remember to practice your spellings too as we have a spelling test on a Friday.
Literacy activity for Thursday 3rd February
Have a go at completing the character profile of Gunnar, from Viking Boy, thinking about what we know about him. Draw a picture, and list words to describe his appearance and personality. The second part asks you to write a paragraph, thinking about how his feelings change throughout the story. You don't need to print out the sheet, you can copy it onto another piece of paper. Just do your best.
Literacy Activity for Monday 31st January. Plot point 8. Start the video at 14:40.
We have been writing a short story based on Disney's short film: Feast. The video link is the lesson the class will be doing today so the format is familiar to all of the children. If you forward the timer to 13:50 - this is the start of the lesson. A piece of paper will be needed and it would be great if the writing could come to school at the end of isolation. It will be tricky to 'chot' chat and jot without classmates and kind calling out won't be possible either but I'm sure lots of ideas will be gleaned from Mrs C. Happy writing! I look forward to reading your work.

In literacy on Fridays we do our spelling test, and some punctuation and grammar. Keep practicing your spellings on Spelling Shed, and you could maybe get someone to test you on them! The grammar activity is below to have a go at as well.
