A great day out at Whinlatter!
Today (Wednesday 3rd June) the children in year 5 and 6 visited Whinlatter Forest in Keswick. The children tackled an orienteering course, navigated around a Tracks Trail (some with extra distance here and there!) and they all enjoyed some time in the wild play area. The weather was good and all of the children enjoyed their outdoor learning experience which has helped to enhance our current geography topic, Map Work. The children worked hard and showed determination on the hilly terrain. Our rangers, Barbara and Julie, were very complimentary about all of the children.
On behalf of all staff on the trip I would like to say a huge thank you to the parents who came on the trip with us and supported the children throughout the day. Your help is much appreciated.
