A winning performance for the Netball Team!

Yesterday (Tuesday 29th April 2014) our netball teams took part in the KS2 Netball Tournament at William Howard School. We had two teams taking part in the competition and all of the children tried their best and played really well. Our ‘Team 2’ played on a very warm outdoor court and they scored a draw in two of their matches and lost their third despite a valiant effort to score a goal! Our ‘Team 1’ played in the sports hall and did very well to cope with all of the different line markings on the floor! They won all 4 of the games in their group which put them straight into the final.

The final was played outside and we were against Hayton B. The game started well with all of the children working really hard to win the ball. It seemed like a very long 7 minutes for all of the children, parents and I watching every movement of the ball... Aimee Burrus and Jack Mitchelson were playing GS and GA and worked very hard to put the ball through the hoop! Eventually, Jack scored a goal with 30 seconds of the game to play! We were all very excited when the final whistle was blown and we had won! A great day was had by all and yet again the children of Brampton Primary School did our school proud.

The teams:

Team 1: Georgia Earl, Aimee Lockwood, Georgie Murphy, Jack Mitchelson, Alex McCabe, Aimee Burrus and Mollie Hillary.

Team 2: Anna Percival, Rebecca Todhunter, Freya Green, Matt Blenkinsop, Tyler Falder, DJ Taylor and Anna Beales.
