An incredible afternoon!!

Today (Thursday 3rd April) our year 3 and 4 gymnastics team travelled to Penrith Leisure Centre to take part in the County Final of the Key Steps Beginners’ Gym Competition. Our team: Ruby Noble, Emma Reeves, Sienna Taylor, India Doherty-Spence, Jessica Norman and Katy Mitchinson were all nervous and very excited! Each gymnast had to perform a vault, a floor routine and a body management routine. They held their nerve and tried their very best and they all performed brilliantly.

After a short yet anxious wait it was time for the results to be announced… With our fingers crossed we listened carefully as each place was broadcast over the loud speaker. And finally… In 1st place, the team from BRAMPTON PRIMARY SCHOOL! Everybody was delighted to hear that our gym team had won the competition.

I would like to say thank you very much to all of the parents for being so supportive, especially for helping their children attend all of the training sessions we have completed and for the excellent cheering at competitions! Your children are a credit to you.

It has been my absolute pleasure to work with all of the girls and I would like to thank them all for showing such determination and commitment to the team. They are an inspiration to the rest of the children in our school – well done girls!
