This week sees the start of Fairtrade Fortnight in school. As a Fairtrade school, who are part of a Fairtrade town, we take pride in ensuring that BPS children are fully aware of what that funny little symbol actually means.
We launched this year’s event with an assembly on Monday and over the next two weeks, each class will be investigating a product which carries the Fairtrade symbol. Classes will be investigating where the raw product used in the product comes from and how Fairtrade supports life in the countries which produce it.
The results of our investigations will be displayed in the main corridor of school – we hope you enjoy learning from them when you visit!
Also, don't forget our Fairtrade Tuck Shop will return on Fridays this half term! Geo-bars and bananas will be on sale at morning break.
