KS1 Visit to Blackpool

Key Stage One! Where do we start?

Firstly, we have to mention the superb behaviour of all of our children during our fantastic visit to Blackpool on Monday. It was so lovely to hear all of the lovely comments from people out and about how well you were representing Brampton Primary School. You spoke to people with curtesy and your manners were impeccable all day. As teachers we were so proud of you all so thank you.

We started our visit at the Education Academy in Blackpool Pleasure Beach where Ronald talked about the history of this special seaside resort and how Blackpool promenade has changed over time.

Next, we had a tour of the Pleasure Beach and looked at the differences between old and new features and how things are constantly changing.

During our lunch, we sat and looked at Blackpool’s promenade and had to hide our sandwiches from some greedy seagulls.

Our last activity was looking at the South Pier and we spent some time on the beach writing messages, building sandcastles and playing football. We had our pockets filled with shells and even saw some washed up jellyfish!

Finally, a huge thank you needs to go to our PTA as they supplied us with a Mr Whippy ice-cream each. They went down a treat as you can see from some of our pictures.

Thank you to parents for supporting Key Stage One through our exciting adventures. Your children really were a credit to you and the school.
