KS2 Rounders Competition

Today, Tuesday 25th June, two teams of children attended the annual Rounders Tournament at William Howard School. A tournament Brampton children always look forward to. The children played some fantastic rounders and achieved INCREDIBLE results. The batting and fielding ability of our children was much admired by all who watched them play – lots of good ‘triangles’ in action!

Team 1 won all of their games and progressed through to the final for what would be their toughest game of the tournament. The team included: Jordan Noble, Ben Morton, Ben Williamson, Ethan Goodchild, Theo Bowe, Kenzie Ridpath, Michaela Tait, Aimee Urquhart and Layla Beales.

Team 2 also won all of their games and progressed through to the final for what would be their toughest game of the tournament. The team included: Alex Correia, Theo Taylor, Lee Macdonald, Luca Turner, Joe Reid, Jack Noble, Summer Wharton, Chloe Mallinson, Kacey Brown and Kelsey Timmons.

So, onto the final… Brampton A against Brampton B! Heaps of excitement, nerves and lots of fantastic rounders. After 5 minutes each way, the result was announced and Brampton A were victorious. There was some disappointment for the Brampton B team but after some thought they were delighted to have won all of their games on route to the final.

Both Mrs Watson and I were very proud of all of the children. They played very well and adhered to the rules of the game without a fuss, well done to you all. Yet another good day out for the children of Brampton Primary School!
