Friday 3rd November was a great day for our cross country teams!
The KS2 children at Brampton Primary School have been training hard during the last month and our visit to Talkin Tarn showed this. We entered 3 teams into the competition and our reserves took part in the fun run, which this year was only 100 metres shorter than the actual race distance. I am delighted to report that our Mixed team finished in a commanding 1st place with an incredibly low score of 14 points! Our Girls team ran their socks off and finished in a very credible 3rd place. Our Boys team jostled for position and did well to finish just outside of the top 3 - well done boys. Finally, the reserves ran brilliantly in the fun run and they were all delighted to find out that Jack Noble, who had made his way around the Tarn at a blistering pace, won and was delighted to return to school with a gold medal! All of the children acquitted themselves admirably and the determination on all of their faces was incredible. As a school, we finished in 2nd place overall.
I must point out some individual results - we had a number of children finishing inside the top 10!

Great to see such a mixture of year groups doing so well. A huge well done to all of the children taking part in such a great event. Thank you also to the parents who came along to cheer the children on.
