The Week Ahead...
Last week's Arts Week was capped off in file style with a fun filled assembly on Friday afternoon. There was so much to talk about we were still sharing work in this morning's assembly! Well done everyone and a special thank you to Mrs Shovlin, Miss Miller and Miss Ritson for the organisational efforts.
This week promises a further selection of exciting events and opportunities starting with our Reception Games afternoon today. This will be led in school by pupils from William Howard School.
Y3/4 will be visited by a real Roman solider called ‘Gambax' today. He will be sharing his experiences as a soldier and telling tales from the barracks.
All of our Year 1 and 2 children will be taking a trip into the Lake District on Friday to enjoy the scenery, visit Brockhole Visitor Centre, take a cruise on Windermere and learn more about Beatrix Potter. What an action packed end to the week! Please don’t forget waterproofs and packed lunches.
With the 20th FIFA World Cup starting in Brazil on Thursday, we will also be learning about Brazil through our assemblies and each class will be adopting two nations (other than England) to follow through the tournament. The results of the draw will be shared on the website tomorrow.
