Well done to the Rounders and Cricket Teams!

Like this week at school, last week was also a very busy week for our sporting teams. Firstly, we had success in the Annual KS2 Rounders Tournament. It was held at William Howard School on the 15th June and we entered 3 teams into the competition. All of the children played really well with excellent displays of fielding tactics and good batting skills. The day ended with a tightly contested final against Warwick Bridge - to our relief we emerged victorious! Well done to all of the children who took part and to Miss Miller for running afterschool club and accompanying us to the tournament.

The following day, Thursday 16th June, we had a team of 8 girls attend the Kwik Cricket Tournament at Carlisle Cricket Club. Mr Dennis and Mr Smith coached and accompanied the children and they were more than happy with the effort and performance the girls displayed. They came home with some good results, lots learnt but didn't quite make it into the semi-finals. Huge well done to all of the girls, another good competition for our school.

I hope you enjoy the photographs! smiley
