Statutory Assessment Tests are more commonly referred to as 'SATs' and they are used to measure a child's progress from the end from one key stage to another (i.e. from Year 2 to Year 6).  

Other statutory assessments which take place in 2025 are the Year 4  Times Table check and Year 1 Phonics Screening check.
