Over the next 6 weeks, we are going to use this time to recap and review set 1 sounds. So that children are familiar and secure with them.
Read these sounds with your child, can they tell you them all?
Can they write them without seeing them and just hearing them?
If children are familiar with these sounds, practise writing words sounding out and spelling them.
Find objects beginning with certain sounds.
Below are the reception sight words.
Firstly have a go at the 45 key words. See if your child can read them independently. Then have a go at spelling some each day. Once they are familiar and secure move onto the 100 sight words.
