Good morning and happy Thursday!

Today we are going to continue learning about Verbs. Remember:

A verb is a word used to describe an action, state or occurrence.

Verbs can be used to describe an action, that’s doing something, For example, like the word ‘eating’ in this sentence:

The boy was jumping over the hurdles.

Have a go at the verb sorting worksheet by cutting and sticking the words into the correct column. Then, have a go at using the words in your own super sentences. Remember if you can’t print, you can draw a table and write the words into the correct column!

These two games are fantastic fun and great for sharpening up on your literacy skills:

Extra Fun!

Play a game of verb charades with someone at home. Cut up some small pieces of paper and then write a verb on each piece. Put them in a bowl and take turns to choose a verb and silently act them out to each other. I wonder who will win???
