This web page has been set up to provide you with Home Learning activities and ideas for you and your child while school is closed.

Suggested Timetable

Routines are very important for children.  Try to keep some rhythm in your day so the children still feel like they have some routine.

Suggested Tasks

Use the online links to play one of the Numbots games. Your login is on the front of your home learning pack. Complete one of the activities in the paper-based pack. Watch some Numberblocks to keep up to date with your place value and number recognition. Access the 'Maths' link below to find your daily White Rose maths lesson. Use a separate piece of paper to answer questions and find objects at home to help you solve problems.

Get outside & get some exercise.

Drink some water and have a healthy snack.

Use ICT games and items from your paper pack to recognise and practice all your sounds. Use these sounds in real and nonsense words. Use the YouTube channel to practice to read and write your daily sound. All Year 1 children have been taught Set 1, 2 and 3 sounds now and it is important that they are constantly reviewing all of these to keep them fresh and fluent.

Use the online links to access Spelling Shed and ICT games as a starter activity. Follow the'Literacy' link below and click on your daily activity. You can use your own paper to help you with activities and writing parts of the lessons. It would really help with the flow of the lesson if the parent has read through the work before starting so you can choose what is best for your child and how you will tackle parts of the lesson. Remember to share your fantastic work on our Class Dojo.

Continue to read lots and keep your reading records up to date.

Use books from home and the Epic! website/app to add to your reading records. Don’t forget, your phonic sounds are in the middle of your reading records. Practice some of your Year 1 common exception words from your paper-based pack.

Check this section for your weekly craft activity. These activities will build on fine and gross motor skills as well as giving the children something creative to do in the afternoons.

Send photographs of your creations to  We will then add them to the Class Dojo.

Your topic this term is ‘Wonderful Weather'

Each week there will be an activity based on afternoon curriculum that will link to this topic. It may be history, geography, ICT, art, design and technology or music based.

Get outside & get some exercise.

Drink some water and have a healthy snack.

Have a go at Jumpstart Jonny at home with his free videos.

A little reminder to everyone working with children at home...

This work is NOT compulsory. If you would like your child to continue with some school work at home then this is here to help you with that routine. I have heard from lots of parents that you have been adding to your life skills throughout the past few weeks and this should also continue.  As parents, it is up to you to decide on how much work your child does/does not do at home. Although some activities have worksheets, you can copy work and adapt it to suit if you do not have a printer at home.

As always, I am available on the Class Dojo throughout the week if you have any questions.

Don't forget to share your super work and home activities with me on the Class Dojo page.
